Mind-Body Therapy to Compliment a 'Dancing Lifestyle'
Dance is often a catalyst for detoxifying and cleansing the body, but it is most effective if you include some time for mind-body therapy.
You have many options at your fingertips; reflection, meditation, visual art, massage, prayer, journaling and counseling.Treating your body well, and paying attention to the shifts in emotions and mental processes is therapeutic. You become more present and loving with yourself, and understand the healing process better.

Exploring Paths of Healing and Transformation
For starters, it is helpful to have a practice of reflection that includes art, journaling, prayer and/or meditation. Regularly connecting to the "bigger picture" can keep life in perspective and bring your understanding of what's happening to deeper (and 'higher') levels.
Finding healthy ways to express emotion is very cleansing. Screaming, laughter and tears are all cleansing to your system.

Visual journaling and art, healing songs, meditation and prayer all help you to access your intuitive source of Wisdom. They allow your imagination to dance. They allow you to dance with color on paper. They allow you to speak and sing your truth. They allow your spirit to dance without limitations! Life is a journey of self-discovery. A lifestyle that explores healthy practices is a life worth dancing about!
